In the second accident, also on Thursday morning, a 26-year-old lifeguard lost control of his motorcycle along the Ayer Rajah Expressway, before the exit into Clementi Ave 6, causing him to collide with railings on the side of the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics while his pillion rider sustained serious injuries.
